What’s it like living in Colorado?
I love it. Before moving here I was strictly a California guy. I grew up in SoCal and went to college there. Moved to San Francisco afterward for work and loved it but part of my job had me relocating to Hawaii which was fun but not necessarily a place I wanted to be for a long period of time (island fever).  I took a job in Denver (not having even been to the city) after my stint in Hawaii and fell in love.  I figured I'd at least like it since I love the mountains and I love running.  I always figured I'd eventually move back to California but the longer that I am here, the less and less I want to leave.

What gets you out of bed every morning?
Honestly, coffee.  I love it and I get so excited about it when I wake up.

When did you pick up photography?
I've always been interested in photography after I took my first class in high school but only really got into it the past couple of years. I used to trail run a lot when I was living in San Francisco and just started snapping with my iPhone 5 along my runs. From there I started gaining followers and getting featured on lots of running/outdoor accounts. That's when I started to build my network in the photography realm which is much different than what I went to school for, which was engineering. Since then I purchased a "real" camera and worked with a bunch of brands. It's crazy to think that this has all happened in the course of a year and a half.

Where’s your favorite place to adventure to?
This is a tough one but my favorite place to adventure is Muir Woods in the Bay Area.  I would do a lot of running in that area and the way the fog flows through the redwoods and the morning light piercing the fog was so magical.  It was like running through a fairytale. It brings back so many memories.

What’s next?
Some future goals with photography are just to continue to work with brands and companies that value my specific photo style. I want to work with people who have the same vision because I think, it makes photography that much more rewarding since what you’re shooting is basically a representation of yourself and what you see.
