What’s it like living in the UK?
I grew up and, after spending a few years away from home, live in Leicester, England. It’s about as far away from the sea as you can get in the UK, and my day-to-day landscape is nothing like the places I travel to. Hardly a romantic intro, right? What I have got is fantastic travel opportunities; close to the UK’s major motorway means I can get to almost anywhere in the country within a couple of hours, and there’s an awful lot to see before I even think about heading to an airport. For such a small country, there’s a really diverse landscape which I’m very thankful to be able to explore and appreciate.

What gets you out of bed every morning?
I’m really quite an active person, and find it very hard to do ‘nothing’. I literally can’t spend any more than a few hours indoors at a time. So the thing that gets me out of bed is the desire to get up and get moving; to get the day started.

When did you pick up a camera?
Photography started for me when I was spending a lot of my time skating and BMXing in my early teens. I was always the guy who’d be taking the photos and going home to look through magazines and websites of action sports. From there the transition into landscape/adventure was pretty smooth. I’ve always loved the outdoors, camping, climbing, and hiking, so as I grew older and started going on more trips the camera came along too.

Where’s your favorite place to adventure to?
The wild landscapes of Scotland, especially Skye, are amazing. I always have a blast road tripping around Scotland, staying on campgrounds by the side of the road, and exploring new sights. But really, anywhere that’s new really excites me. I love the feeling you get when each step takes you further into something you’ve never seen before.

What’s next?
For me, I’m pretty content and happy wherever I am, and whatever I’m doing, but I’d really like to see a bit more of the world. Most of my trips and adventures happen within the UK, so I'd really like to start branching out internationally; maybe make it out to Scandinavia, the Alps, or maybe over to the States.
