Tell us about yourself. Where were you born, where'd you grow up, where are you living now?
I was born in Pennsylvania but that was mostly out of necessity. My parents were living in Haiti at the time and wanted me to be born in the US for ease of citizenship and be close to medical care in case something were to go wrong. Two weeks later I was on a plane back to Haiti. The next 15 years was spent moving around Morocco, Madagascar and Senegal until I moved to the US at 15. I have been here on and off ever since. As of right now, I am based out of Fort Collins, Colorado but that could change at any moment.

What gets you out of bed every morning?
As unromantic as this sounds, a constant running list of what I have to do that day usually does it.

When do you do when you're not working?
This is where the line blurs for many freelancers - at least the ones I have spoken to. There isn't really ever a time when you are 'not working' because even if you aren't actively working, you are thinking about everything that needs to be done. Even my outdoor expeditions usually involve thinking about how my surrounding environment would be best captured in a photo. I do enjoy camping, hiking, skiing and working with my hands. I have just embarked on a huge project of building a geodesic dome.

Where’s your favorite place you've been to?
As I travel quite a bit, I have been asked this many times. I can't choose a favorite but I can name my top three and those are Bali, Greece and Colorado. All for different reasons but I really really love those places.

What’s next?
I don't really have any plans more than a month out. BUT what it is looking like right now is staying in Fort Collins for a few months to build my dome. Then in the spring take the dome out to a piece of land around Crested Butte or Buena Vista and set it up there. After that there is an idea floating of driving to PA to pick up a run-down Airstream that a family friend offered me, bring it back to CO and restore it. Also, I'm planning a little trip to Portugal before the year is out.
