We’re currently seeking a Marketing Manager to run social media (Instagram and Facebook), digital advertising, email marketing, and events. 
Detailed Job Description:
Matador is seeking a marketing manager to run social media, digital advertising, email marketing, PR, and events. This person must be a self-starter who can excel with minimal supervision and oversight. They must have the ability to come up with creative ideas and strategies to maximize growth and engagement across a number of platforms. They must be social, analytical, in-tune with branding, and sensitive to the customer experience.

The Marketing Manager will be solely responsible for end-to-end management of Matador’s social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook. This includes creatively growing and supporting our social media channel through giveaways, brand collaborations, paid promotions, and awesome content. This also includes curation and generation of regular posts, replying to comments, and any other tasks associated with successfully managing social media, driving engagement and delivering the Matador brand experience to our audience.

Social media management inherently involves constant collaboration with influencers, feature account managers, and our brand ambassadors. Our Marketing Manager needs to have a good understanding of the Instagram community to leverage their own connections, in addition to those Matador already has in place. Negotiation and relationship building are critical elements of working with influencers and feature accounts and an important part of the Marketing Manager role.

Marketing Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of Matador’s email marketing program. This includes growing and supporting our email subscribers through collaborations, giveaways, events, etc.  This also includes content generation, writing, campaign scheduling, and email list management. The ability to write/generate compelling content is a requirement.

Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing many of Matador’s digital advertising campaigns across a number of platforms. This part of the role requires a creative yet analytical personality, as they will be working to achieve a target ROI on all ad spend while scaling the campaigns. Marketing manager will be responsible for producing accurate reporting on all ad spend. Marketing manager will also be responsible for working with outside advertising firms on various platforms as necessary.

Marketing Manager will be responsible for management and interface with Matador’s external PR agency. This includes assisting in the development of interesting pitches, collaborating with various media, arranging sample shipments to press, etc.

Marketing Manager will be solely responsible for our brand ambassador program. This includes regularly interfacing with existing ambassadors to source original content and promote the brand, all while supporting the ambassador’s personal brand and agenda (give as much as you take).

Last but not least, Marketing Manager will be expected to manage and attend various events and tradeshows such as the Outdoor Retailer Tradeshow, GoPro Mountain Games, International Travel Goods Tradeshow, etc. This includes everything from event logistics to setup and attendance.

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing and adhering to the budget while achieving all of the tasks listed above. Our company is perfect for people who thrive under minimal management and guidance.

Marketing Manager will be expected to successfully collaborate with people within and outside the company. Internal collaboration includes working with designers and taking creative direction to produce content that aligns with our brand guidelines. Collaboration with upper management includes developing budgets, setting goals, and successfully growing the brand in a sustainable way. External collaboration includes working with influencers, ambassadors, other brands, media, PR, etc. to achieve the best possible results across all marketing channels.

The Marketing Manager will be expected to show up and work hard every day to achieve these goals in our fast-paced office environment. This is a big role with a lot of responsibility, but comes with the opportunity to grow the position as quickly as we grow the company.
Applicant Requirements:
Applicants should have 3+ years work experience in a relevant position; more experience is preferred. Applicants must have extensive experience with Instagram, Facebook, and email marketing.  Experience with digital advertising (Facebook business/Ad manager, AdWords, Criteo Dynamic Retargeting, etc.) is not required but highly preferred.
