Bought this full price as I do a lot of mountaneering and hiking and was looking for a waterproof bag I could hang on my chest. Turns out, the drybag has stiches running through it so it is not waterproof no matter what the website claims. Having rolled the drybag closure I was feeling nice and smug with my purchase but after a couple of hours in the rain my camera was soaked! Completly useless... Fortunately my camera survived, so I tested it again this time without my camera inside and my suspicions were correct. Not waterproof, so I now have to put my camera into an actual drybag first before it goes in the case. Waste of money.
Hi Raf. Sorry to hear you had issues. The Camera Base Layer is thoughfully designed to be fully waterproof (IPX6 rated) when the drybag liner is rolled 3 plus times and clipped with the integrated snaps. If you experienced seam/stiching issues, it's possible this may be a one-off manufacturing defect. Please contact our Customer Service team at customerservice@matadorequipment.com and we'll work with you to return it so we can fully test it for any issues. We'll even get it replaced for free or give you a full refund if you'd prefer.
Fits my Fuji XT5 perfectly.
I got this one because it's half the price of the hyperlite camera pod and only a little more than 1 oz. The weekend after it came in I carried it 14 miles through the Sonoran desert and it was a wonderful addition to my backpacking set up I have a nikon D7000 camera. It fits snug but fits good.
